July
28, 2005 - We're proud to announce
the release of the new Inbit
Messenger 2.2
as an upgrade release for Inbit Messenger
2.1
What's New in
2.2.0 IMS/IMA: 1.
Introducing
online
status
policy
settings
see screenshot..>
Reasons
behind
online
status
management:
Hidden
from
View
allows
a
user
to
see
all
other
online users;
however,
the
user's
name
is
not
listed
on
the
online
directory.
The
user
appears
as
though
offline. Although
a
Hidden
from
View
user
can
initiate
chat
with
others,
the
opposite
is
not
true.
This
may cause
problems
for
corporate
operations.
In
this
new
release,
you
can
set
status
management
options
in the
Status
page.
You
can
turn
on/off
the
Hidden
from
View
in
particular;
you
can
also
turn
off
all
status changes
so
that
when
a
user
is
online,
he/she
has
only
one
online
status.
2.
Introducing
flexible
i-mail
attachment
file
size
control see screenshot..>
I-mail
is
a
convenient
communications
tool.
However,
without
setting
a
limit
on
attachment
files, this
tool
may
dramatically
slow
down
your
IM
speed.
We
suggest
you
to
set
a
reasonable
limit
based
on your
organization
needs.
3.
Introducing
emoticon
see screenshot..> Inbit
Messenger
was
designed
for
business
environment
from
day
one.
So
the
original
design
didn't
allow using
emoticons.
Since
so
many
users
have
suggested
to
introduce
emoticons
in
business
environment, we
added
this
feature.
The
administrator
can
disable
it
if
you
don't
see
it
fit
in
your
organization.
